BAIL REFORM
So -called “bail reform” has turned New York into one of the most dangerous places in the Country. We were once one of the safest places in America. Bail reform must be fixed immediately and should have never been passed in the first place. Cashless bail has produced shooting galleries all over our cities and towns.
Every day we wake up and hear another horrific tale of someone being murdered by
repeat offenders with long rap sheets. Sexual assaults are sadly commonplace.
This “bail reform” law was passed without public support. The pro-crime lobbyists that
passed this law are focused on distorting the truth.
- I will work to get rid of bail reform on day one of taking office.
The manner in which Albany passed this law in the first place shows us why we need to vote for
change in this district. I’ll make sure we change the law so that we make sure Judges aren’t forced to release dangerous repeat offenders back on the streets.
